Overview
The Elizabeth River Project is a non-profit organization that aims to restore the historic river. They conduct scientific research and data-based approaches to address the rise of the sea level, change in climate, water quality and wildlife population. By conducting these environmental assessments, the organization gains valuable insights into the health of the river ecosystem. Through the collaborative efforts from those in the residential, government, and business community, they are able to identify strategies for improvement.

Problem
The Elizabeth River Project's art exhibit required a cohesive visual identity across multiple materials, including a logo, poster, and brochure.
Solution
Design a logo, poster, and brochure that resonated with the exhibit's theme , “ All Water Has A Perfect Memory” while communicating its purpose clearly and impactfully to the audience.
Logo Design
The final logo design integrates a heron and water within the outline of a house, symbolizing the impact of rising water levels on the habitats. This design emphasizes the vulnerability of the wildlife facing habitat loss due to environmental changes, highlighting the need for awareness and action to protect their ecosystems.
In order to create the assets for this project, I researched the Elizabeth River Project’s mission and meaning of the art exhibit, “All Water Has A Perfect Memory”. After researching, I sketched and vectorized ideas for a logo that would represent the exhibits belief that water retains information from the environments it has passed through.

This map layout is both user-friendly and informative, designed to enhance the visitor's experience as they navigate the exhibition. By including the images of each art piece, alongside the title, artist, and year of creation, viewers can quickly identify and learn about the artworks. Additionally, including the exhibition’s mission, With clear visuals and organized information, the map serves as an intuitive guide that enhances the visitor’s experience.
Takeaway
I created a coherent set of materials for the Elizabeth River Project's art exhibit centered around the theme "All Water Has A Perfect Memory". When designing the project, I gained knowledge on how to design relevant visual concepts; a versatile logo, attention-grabbing poster and brochure consistent with the each component. Moreover, I ensured a coherent flow within the brochure so the components flowed together and each panel had meaning.
